DIY: How To Dip Dye Your Hair
Already there has been a lot written on the topic of Dip Dye Hair and there are definitely a lot of galleries on Buzznet. But not much has been said about HOW to dip dye hair. It's not difficult. First, it is important to choose the right bright color. Here are some photos from which you can get inspiration.

I browsed through the Internet to find the best instructions on how to do it. I think this instruction video from Free People is great.
Below the video, you can see photos with written instructions and with time-stamps (corresponding to when you can see the action in the video).
Free People: How To Dip Dye
They brought in hair stylist Lauren Rhodes, of Philly's House Productions hair studio, to demonstrate how to dip dye your hair! Song is "Once We Were Trees" by Beachwood Sparks.
What you´ll need (0:06-0:23):
hair bleach
developer
gloves
a plastic bowl
plastic brush
foils
hair color

First, section out the hair (0:26).
Mix bleach and developer. It should make an icing-like consistency (0:33).
Split the bottom section of hair in half (0:53).
Apply bleach mixture to bottom 3" of hair (1:01).
Feather your application toward the top (1:07).
Make sure you cover completely (1:13).
Move to the next section of hair. Split and repeat (1:37).
Heat ends with blow dryer (1:56).

Then check first section of hair you bleached. Brush through for total saturation if necessary (2:05).
Compare against the last section of hair you bleached (2:22).
When you see that hair is ready (2:40), remove foils over sink and rinse endy with water (2:43).

Squeeze hair color into plastic cup (2:55).
Apply color generously (3:00).
Remember that it´s ok to get some color on unbleached hair. It won´t be super visible unless you have light blonde hair (3:12).

Wrap in plastic bag (3:26).
Apply heat if your color instructions advise you to (3:32).
The longer the stain can sit in your hair the better it will hold (3:36).
Let it cool for 5 minutes (3:43).
Remove excess color with paper towl. If you want brighter color, apply more! (3:50)

Rinse ends with conditioner only (3:54).

Do you have dip dyed hair? Do you go to the hairdresser or did you do it at home? Do you like this trend or not? Just tell me what do you think. I´ll be glad for every comment:)
